The U15s squad represents the final and most critical step in our Junior Development Programme before players fully transition into the demands of senior cricket. This comprehensive programme is intensely focused on high-level skill refinement and ensuring players possess the competitive maturity required for the next stage. We place a significant emphasis on self-management, decision-making and understanding personal roles within the team structure. The goal is to fully prepare these young athletes for the challenge of playing against adults in the 3rd and 4th XI senior teams, where they gain essential exposure to the pace, power, and tactics of the adult game.
Format: Full competitive hard-ball cricket. Players are encouraged to take responsibility for their own performance and equipment.
Key Skills: Advanced tactical play, match strategy, captaincy skills, and managing pressure. Emphasis is placed on developing a specialized role (opening bat, spin bowler, etc.).
NCU Competition: Competing in the NCU U15 League/Cup, aiming for strong results and cup progression.
Ages: Typically for children aged 14 and 15 (post-primary Year 10-11).
